The New Service of Digestive Endoscopy is situated on the third floor of Sacro Cuore Hospital (Entry G). It boasts its own premises, suitably structured to carry out diagnostic and therapeutic investigations. Two endoscopic halls are open and active throughout the day, Monday to Friday. On Saturdays, the Service is open until 1.00 pm.
The last generation equipment (high definition, virtual chromoendoscopy, magnification etc) enables an early diagnosis of the alterations of the gastrointestinal tract. It is possible to implement endoscopies with vital or electronic colorations and magnification (X 1.5 enlargement) by utilizing the Narrow Brand Imaging (NBI) technology (electronic selection of the chromatic band).

Special care is lavished on the patient’s comfort and safety (execution of the examinations under sedation, continuous wireless monitoring of the vital functions, adequate preparation areas and post- procedure relaxation).

Within the ambit of the Diagnostic Program of Sacro Cuore – Don Calabria Hospital, the Digestive Endoscopy Service is certified as conforming to the UNI EN ISO 9001 : 2000 regulation by Bureau Veritas Certification (certificate no. 202064/C).
