Please remember that in the &#8220;low risk&#8221; pregnancy from 40+1 to 40+6 weeks the service is paid for (new Italian Essential Levels of Care &#8211; LEA Livelli Essenziali di Assistenza). Indeed from 40+1 the service is free. In both cases, the prescription is provided by the Department after first access. In the &#8220;high risk&#8221; pregnancy the service is free. Maternal and fetal well-being is monitored at each appointment by examinations, ultrasonography and cardiac ultrasonography.
