{"id":35323,"date":"2020-07-24T12:04:23","date_gmt":"2020-07-24T10:04:23","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.sacrocuore.it\/?page_id=35323"},"modified":"2023-04-13T11:42:48","modified_gmt":"2023-04-13T09:42:48","slug":"dipartimento-di-malattie-infettive-e-tropicali","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/www.sacrocuore.it\/en\/irccs\/malattie-tropicali-laboratorio-malattie-tropicali-e-microbiologia\/dipartimento-di-malattie-infettive-e-tropicali\/","title":{"rendered":"Infectious, Tropical Diseases and Microbiology Department"},"content":{"rendered":"<div class=\"wpb-content-wrapper\"><p>[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text uncode_shortcode_id=&#8221;928705&#8243;]<\/p>\n<h3><b>INFECTIOUS, TROPICAL DISEASES AND MICROBIOLOGY DEPARTMENT<br \/>\n<\/b><\/h3>\n<p lang=\"en-GB\" align=\"justify\">The Tropical Diseases Center (now Infectious-Tropical Diseases and Microbiology Department) was established near 30 years ago from a primary concern, indeed, for tropical diseases, but over the years also the infectivological not tropical part has become increasingly important.<\/p>\n<p lang=\"en-GB\" align=\"justify\">The main distinctive character of Department is the research work \u2013 translatory (from laboratory to the application for patients benefits), clinical and epidemiological \u2013 focused especially on diseases that concern poor people of the planet and today represent \u2013 in view of migration flows and increase of travel in tropical areas \u2013 a theme of global interest.<\/p>\n<p lang=\"en-GB\" align=\"justify\">The experience, developed initially in clinical activity field, has been consolidated also in laboratory activity with a particular attention to the classic parasitological diagnostics microscopy-based and with the progressive integration of new diagnostic techniques.
