Treatment is carried out in the ward, outpatients’ clinic and the Day Hospital.
The three areas cooperate in order to accompany the patient throughout her stay within the unit: diagnosis (outpatients’ clinic and Day Hospital), surgical treatment (ward and operating theatre), and follow up (post-operative outpatients’ clinic).
Diagnosis (also in collaboration with other specialists) is aided by sophisticated instruments (ultrasounds, colposcopy, hysteroscopy, urodynamic evaluation).
Surgical treatment uses the most state of the art techniques and equipment currently available.
In the surgical treatment of Severe Endometriosis and Major Oncological surgery, the gynaecological team works with other teams (general and reconstructive surgery, as well as vascular, plastic and urology surgery) in order to guarantee a complete multi-disciplinary approach when treating the patient.
