The Plastic Surgery Operating Unit of the Sacro Cuore – Don Calabria Classified Hospital, run by Dr Cesare Cristofoli, has existed since March 2001.

It has 8 beds on the ward, located on the 5th floor of the S. Cuore Hospital.

The ward is divided into an admission area with a room with three beds, two rooms with two beds and one single room, and a service area where there is a medication room, the secretary’s office and two doctors’ offices.

The ward’s small size and team of staff who work well together are strong points in creating a direct and personal relationship with each patient, in order to optimise the surgery times and make the patient’s experience as little “hospitalised” as possible.

Informed consensus

Below is a list of the most frequent “operation authorisation modules”.
The INFORMED CONSENSUS document is vital for any operation. The patient must read and understand it. In it we try to explain in simple terms what will happen in the operating theatre and what the potential complications are.

Patients may find these documents intimidating, as they list a series of possible complications relating to the patient’s operation, some of which are serious. It must however be considered that, generally, these are rare or extremely rare events which, nonetheless, we are legally obliged to inform our patients of.

Please download the module and read it carefully in order to be able to discuss the contents with the doctor carrying out the pre-admission procedures.
