Please follow the visiting times shown at the wards. We do not recommend bringing children.

In general, patient visits are not permitted during:

  • doctor rounds in the morning between 8.00 a.m. and 11.00 a.m.;
  • rest hours between 1.00 p.m. and 4.00 p.m.;
  • after 8.00 p.m. (after 9.00 p.m. during daylight saving time).

We do not recommend visiting patients during meal times.

Under certain circumstances, if you are looking after a sick person you may be allowed to use the hospital canteen service with prior authorisation from the head nurse of the ward.
A canteen voucher can be purchased at the Cashier’s Office for €6.00 per meal.


Out of respect for the sick and the on-duty staff, please abide by the following code of conduct: speak in a low voice, refrain from long visits, do not overcrowd the hospital wards, dress appropriately for the environment, do not make any unnecessary noise, and do not sit on the beds.
Please only call patients if it is strictly necessary and within the times indicated by the ward.
To protect patients’ health, please do not smoke or bring in any alcoholic drinks.
