CONCLUSION
The Negrar Hospital arose from a small seed thrown by God into the wake of Church. It originates from the Gospel and precisely by the command of Christ: «Heal the sicks» (Matthew 10, 8) and another Christ’s word: «I was sick and you visited me» (Matthew 25, 38).
In the first decades of 20th Century, Father Angelo Sempreboni, Negrar’s parish priest, animated by evangelical charity and trust in Providence, founded a Rest Home for needy elderlies.
After Sempreboni’s premature death, Father Giovanni Calabria collected his material and spiritual inheritance, accentuating the activity in favor of sicks.
The current Hospital complex, fruitful fruit of that little seed, wants to keep itself closely connected to that origin.
The historical events, great progress of social assistance, laws and facilities to which the civil community gave life in following decades, don’t underestimate evangelical principles from which Institution arose and by which it is continually inspired.
The Congregation of “Poveri Servi della Divina Provvidenza”, continuer and guarantor of Founder’s spirit and charity, considers appropriate and necessary to affirm the identity of the Hospital, so that sicks and people know human and Christian aims that Hospital intends to express.
Who gives his/her services at Hospital «Sacro Cuore e Don G. Calabria», «Casa Perez» and «Casa Nogarè» is required to comply, in letter and spirit, with this document.
