ACTIVITY

PRE-TRAVEL CLINIC

The Pre-travel Clinic provides a high-specialized consultation for every type of international traveler; the recommended vaccinations may be administered just after the counselling. Many of these vaccinations need more than one administration (one “cycle”) to bring an adequate protection. Therefore, it is recommended to fix the appointment with the Clinic not just before the departure. Moreover, at least two weeks are considered necessary from the administration so that vaccination is effective. Where indicated, during the consultation, may be prescribed the anti-malarial prophylaxis (atovaquone/proguanil) that the patient, in that case, buys at the Hospital Pharmacy. The physician consultation, the vaccinations, the anti-malarial prophylaxis must be paid. In case of vaccination course, the prescription charge of each single dose is paid the same day of administration.

CLINIC OF DISEASES AT RETURN FROM INTERNATIONAL TRAVELS

The Clinic is dedicated to the problems (infective and not) appeared in persons who have recently made an international journey. The Clinic may be accessed by individuals who carried out the pre-travel counselling at our centre or others, or patients sent by the treating physician or other colleagues requiring a specialized assessment.
