ACTIVITY OF ELECTROPHYSIOLOGY AND CARDIAC PACING UNIT
- Implant and replacement of single- and double-chamber pacemaker
- Implants of Micra, leadless pacemaker, that is without electrocatheter. It is a very limited size pacemaker, whose form reminds a small bullet, attaching directly to myocardium without need of electrocatheter.
- Implant of defibrillators (ICD) also with biventricular function for heart failure treatment with cardiac resynchronization (CRT-D)
- Implant of subcutaneous defibrillators, whose characteristic is not to have electrocatheter inside the heart, but subcutaneously at hemithorax level.
- Loop Recorder implant (long-term electrocardiogram – ECG – monitoring systems)
- Electrophysiologic studies and transcatheter ablations for the most common arrhythmias, mainly nodal or Kent’s reciprocating tachycardias and common atrial Flutter
- Cryoablation of pulmonary veins
- Closure of auricle in collaboration with the Interventional Cardiology Unit
