ABOUT US

The Oncology Department has the following units:

  • Ordinary Stay Ward
  • Outpatient Clinic/Day Hospital
  • Senology Clinic
  • Palliative Treatments Unit
  • Central Venous Catheter (CVC) Positioning and Management Unit

The Oncology Department is AIFA (Italian Drug Agency) self-certified clinical center for conducting clinical trials Phase 1 from 2nd January 2017

The Oncology Department offers:

  • the best possible care to any patient, in full respect of life and information quality, tackling needs of patients and their relatives
  • particular attention to patients undergoing integrated treatment plans
  • multidisciplinary activity thanks to creation of Oncology Department
  • continuity of care until the terminal phase of disease.

In 2009, the Oncology Department was certified by the ESMO (European Society of Medical Oncology) as Integrated Center of Oncology and Palliative Cares and this certification has been reconfirmed in the following years.
