ABOUT US

The Gym ensures the rehabilitation activity just after operation for patients admitted at the Orthopaedics ward undergoing major surgeries (hip prosthesis, knee prosthesis, shoulder prosthesis, re-implantation, synthesis of femur fractures…). The taking charge of patient generally takes place 24 hours after surgery or when clinical conditions allow it after orthopaedic physician’s request. The treatment takes place at patient’s cot or Department Gym and is carried out by a physiotherapist. The treatments include manual therapies as muscle stretching and articular mobilization, muscle reinforcement, active kinesitherapy.

For patients undergoing minor surgeries or in Day Hospital (reconstruction anterior cruciate ligament ACL/ posterior cruciate ligament PCL, foot and menisci surgeries, reconstruction of rotator cuff…) is provided for a taking charge on outpatient procedure at Orthopaedic Gym, by ensuring a continuity of care. The access to these services takes place after physiatric examination requested by orthopaedic physician during the discharge.
