The care activity is carried out within the inpatient ward, outpatient clinics and Day Hospital.
The three areas are coordinated in order to accompany the patient all along the pathway within facility: diagnosis (outpatient clinic and Day Hospital), surgical treatment (ward and operating room), follow up (postoperative outpatient clinic).
The diagnostics (also in collaboration with other specialties) uses sophisticated instrumentations (ultrasonography, colposcopy, hysteroscopy, urodynamics assessment).
The surgical treatment uses the most modern procedures and instrumentations currently available.
In the surgical treatment of Severe Endometriosis and Major Oncological surgery the gynecological team interacts with other teams (general, reconstructive, vascular and plastic surgery, urology) in order to ensure a multidisciplinary integrated approach to patient’s treatment.
SURGICAL ACTIVITY
This acitivity is scheduled only by the Gynecology Unit Secretariat and consists of:
Laparoscopic SURGERY
Endometriosis eradication with intestinal resection and/or ureteral reimplantation
Myomectomy
Surgical ONCOLOGY
Laparotomic SURGERY
Vaginal SURGERY
Prolapse
Incontinence
DAY SURGERY
This activity is carried out only at the Gynecologic Unit and is scheduled by the Secretariat. It consists of:
Diagnostic and Operative Hysterectomy
OUTPATIENT ACTIVITY
This activity is scheduled only by the booking service of Outpatient Clinics (“Poliambulatori”) where it is carried out from Monday to Friday.
It provides the following services:
Ultrasonography
Colposcopy
Gynecological Urology
Gynecologic Oncology
Diagnostic Hysteroscopy
